Event Description

This is the first event put on by the newly formed 'Stockport Tri Club'.

Starting at Hazel Grove Leisure Centre, where the 400m swim will take place. There are ample parking facilities and room for a large transition area on the grassy area at the front.

This will be followed by a 10km road bike ride on a circuit where all the turns will be left handed to minimise the risk of accidents. Taking in the local villages of Bramhall, Woodford and Poynton.

The final section will involve a 5km multi terrain run, starting on the road before taking in the the local beauty spot, Happy Valley, running alongside the river and following the footpath through to the final road section and the finish.

This event is put on in conjunction with GO TRI a new initiative to give people a taster of what triathlons are all about. We would ask that once you've entered the event, please go to their website; www.gotri.org and register yourself. They will send you a timing band which will serve you on the day and for any other GO TRI events you may enter. (we will be putting on a minimum of four throughout the year.)

Please enter me for the above event. I declare that I will not attend unless I am in good health on the day of the event and confirm that I am medically fit to take part in this triathlon. I take full responsibility for my own health, the road-worthiness of my bicycle and accept that I attend at my own risk. In the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event. No refunds or transfers allowed under any circumstances.
