The Watford 10k

Event Description

The ever popular Watford 10k returns in 2014, with a return to its favourite setting amongst the bluebells in Cassiobury Park, Watford.

The race, organised on behalf of Watford Round Table and Watford Mencap will, once again, be looking to attract runners of all abilities, from experienced athletes to those new to running.

In addition to the main 10k race, there is a timed 3k race for younger athletes as well as a 1k children's race.

The race attracts over 1,000 participants and usually sells out - so an early entry is advised.

Prizes/trophies in 10k for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Male and Female; 1st in age categories from Junior to Vet 8; 1st Male & Female affiliated team (3 to count).

There is also a race village with toilets, refreshments and trade stands.

All Proceeds will go to Watford Mencap and Watford Round Table

Watford Mencap's Children's Centre in Watford provides school clubs, play schemes, nursery groups, a youth club and toy library for over 150 children with learning disabilities in the Watford and South West Herts area.

Watford Round Table donates money to local charities, voluntary groups and individuals for whom help is not always readily available.

- I declare I am an amateur as defined by UK Athletics Laws and will abide by the laws and rules of UK Athletics. I accept that the organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expenses which may arise in the consequence of my participation in this race. I declare that I will not compete unless I am in good health on the day of the race and that in any event I will compete at my own risk. In the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event.
