Event Description

The Emer Casey Foundation and Herne Hill Harriers would be delighted to see you at the 7th edition of the annual Emer Casey London 10K in Brockwell Park, Herne Hill on Sunday 1 November 2015 at 9.30am.

This is a community event in a picturesque park in South London which is open to runners, joggers and walkers of all abilities. We can guarantee that our marshals will encourage you and make you feel welcome whatever your standard or level of fitness. As always, all of the race proceeds will be used to fund research into the causes and detection of ovarian and uterine cancer and for the first time every finisher will receive a technical t-shirt.

We are also delighted that SE Plumbing & Heating (www.seplumbingandheating.co.uk) will be sponsoring the the event once again and are also pleased to have the support of Addiscombe Hockey Club (www.addiscombehc.co.uk) too.

Entries are now open. The entry fee is £14 for club runners with a UKA competition licence and £16 for unaffiliated runners. Entries will be accepted on the day provided that the entry limit of 300 has not been reached, although the on the day entry fee will be £18. However, please do enter in advance to secure your place.

Race instructions will be emailed to all entrants and race numbers will be sent out by post to everybody who enters before Sunday 24 October 2015. If you enter after that date, you will need to collect your number on the day.

The race HQ will be situated at Brockwell Hall which is towards the centre of the park, therefore providing a nice easy downhill start! Changing and baggage storage facilities will be available.

The course consists of three and half laps of the pathways of Brockwell Park and at times offers some spectacular views of London. A map of the course is included in the documents and pictures below.

Prizes will be awarded to the first 3 men, the first 3 women and, outside of these positions, the first M40 veteran, M50 veteran, W35 veteran and W45 veteran. There are all prizes for the first men’s and women’s teams - 3 to score. Spot prizes will also be presented - everybody has a chance to win something!

Further information will be added to this page as the race approaches. Enquiries should be directed to the race email address which is emercaseylondon10k@gmail.com. You can follow updates about the race on Twitter @ECL10K or via the dedicated Emer Casey London 10K Facebook page www.facebook.com/emercaseylondon10k.

We regret that we are unable to refund entry fees if you are unable to participate for whatever reason, although if you can find somebody else who would like your place, we will allow you to transfer it to them, provided that you let us know their details and they confirm that they would like to run and agree to be bound by the event disclaimer.
