Cowm Reservoir 5k Race

We’re looking forward to welcoming runners on Tuesday 26 April at 7pm for the first 5k race at Cowm Reservoir in 2022. Money raised from this event will go to 'New Start - Wythenshawe Hospital Transplant Fund'.
Pre-race
Come dressed ready to run as there are no changing facilities at the event. Parking is limited so we advise you to arrive early, and park on Cowm Park Way South (OL12 8AH).
Registration is at the Cock & Magpie pub on Cockhall Lane, OL12 8BJ from 6pm. Toilets are also available.
Please arrive in good time to register and collect your race number. The start is a short walk from the pub but we advise you do not arrive any later than 6.30pm.
All runners must pre-register in advance through BookitZone. We are unable to accept money or entries on the night.
The route
The race will be the original Cowm 5k route with the same start and finish location. You will run up the lane, turn left then straight up to the reservoir and through the gate to do two anti-clockwise laps. Marshals will be present throughout the course to direct you.
Post-race
Once you have crossed the line, please keep your distance from those still running down the lane.
Free sandwiches will be available in the pub afterwards, but you'll need to bring your own money to purchase drinks. There is a large beer garden at the rear where prizes will be presented at around 8pm for first, second and third places plus best in age categories.

I declare that I will not attend unless I am in good health on the day of the event and accept that I attend at my own risk.
