Time: 9.30 am Junior Golden Mile; 10.00 am for 1 Mile Race; 10.45 am for 5K Race; Wheelchair events from 9.00 am
Following yet another fantastic year in 2014 when over 500 runners joined Andy Vernon and a host of runners for the 2nd Gosport Golden Mile, the race returns again in 2015 bigger and better than before with the addition of a wheelchair event! The race should appeal to athletes of all ages, sizes and abilities. Test yourself against the best on this pancake flat point to point 1 Mile course. The course is point to point - so no turnaround to contend with. The Junior Golden Mile starts at 9.30, with the seniors off at 10.00.
And, if you've enough energy left, why not try your luck in the Gosport Golden 5K that follows this race?
The 5K race is a popular addition to the Hampshire running calendar. A fast and flat, out and back dash along the promenade, the course should be fast, but would suit runners of all standards including beginners.
2015 sees the introduction of a wheelchair event for both classified and unclassified athletes. You can find more details on the wheelchair events below.
All races are heavily sponsored and there will be plenty of prizes up for grabs, including cash prizes for winners of the Golden Mile.

- I declare I am an amateur as defined by UK Athletics Laws and will abide by the laws and rules of UK Athletics. I accept that the organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expenses which may arise in the consequence of my participation in this race. I declare that I will not compete unless I am in good health on the day of the race and that in any event I will compete at my own risk. In the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event.
