Northern Police Cross Country League - 2026/2027 Season
Welcome!! There are a whopping 15 great fixtures planned for 2026/2027! This includes the PSUK Nationals that will be included as one of the 15 counting fixtures. This is the highest number of venues we have ever hosted.
The cost to enter all 14 regional races is £24 which includes a designer Season Memento!
Note: The PSUK Race hosted by Metropolitan/City of London also requires an additional National Race entry fee to take part.
Police Forces Sports Clubs will also contribute toward their own host races direct to provide post-race food and other facilities.
Your entry costs will go toward prizes, season memento, race numbers and any other event running costs including refreshments. The League is non profit-making and all revenue is used to fund and support the races and administration.
They all start at 1.30pm on a Wednesday (Or Friday where stated) This mid-week time is best suited to Police Staff that has been successful for countless years.
There are two entry fees available:
- £24 for up to 14 Fixtures
- £6 for any one individual Fixture
Your best SIX fixtures will count towards points. Each race carries 100 points for 1st Male and Female, 99 for 2nd etc. Maximum points for the season will be 600.

Event Locations
Precise locations of all events will be notified via the npccl website.
Routes
Details of the routes will appear on the Northern Police Cross Country League website soon. They will all be circa 5 - 6 miles. The terrian will be off-road usually best suited to trail shoes.
Navigation
All course will be marked and easy to navigate by small flags, tape or markers.
Entry
The races are closed and only open to members of UK Police Forces and Services and their family members. (Spouse/Partner/Siblings) On special request, we will admit guests of Force Police Club Members.
Note: We are now allowing 'Services' members to this League - Civil, Armed, Fire, NHS, Prison.
Car Parking, Toilets, Changing and Showers
Each venue will differ. All will have car parking and toilets. Some will have changing and showers. Please check the NPCCL website for details.
Post Race Refreshments
Our race hosts will generally put on some post-race light refreshments at most of our races.
Season Prizes
Prizes will be awarded at the end of the season at Fixture 15. These will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd male, female, veteran (5 Year Increments) and Force Team positions as well as other prizes.
Services runners also qualify for the above end of season prizes.
Season Memento
Again, we are including a free printed 'Buff scarf or other memento' for every runner who enters the 'Full League' of Fixtures. (Or at least 6 single fixtures)

Event Terms
Please enter me for the above event. I accept that the organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expenses which may arise in the consequence of my participation in or attendance to this event.
I declare that I will not attend unless I am in good health on the day of the event and accept that I attend at my own risk. In the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event. No refunds allowed but an entry may be transferred to another police runner but only before the season starts.
