Event Description

The 25th Pattingham Bells Run will take place on Sunday 12th October 2014, starting at 11.00 am from near the Village Hall Playing fields.
Run under UKA rules, the 7mile (11k) multi-terrian course is set over beautiful crown estate and park lands surrounding south staffordshire village of Pattingham . You will hear the Church bells encouraging you along and welcoming you become to the finish on the village hall playing fields.

The first run back in 1990, was organised to raise money to replace the old wooden bell frame in the belfry of St. Chad's church in Pattingham. Because of its popularity, the run has continued over the years and now is a respected event in the running world with over 800 entries last year.

All proceeds from the race are now used for local charities, such as the West Midlands Air Ambulance, and also to help St. Chad's church funds. All runners finishing receive a 'Bells Run 2014' brass, a hot drink and a piece of home made harvest cake. Cash prizes for overall, ladies and age category winners, the first lady and first man runner from the Parish of Pattingham with Patshull will be presented with a cup to be held for one year.

The design for the Bells Run brass is changed each year and they have become collector's pieces. The picture shows the design for the 2012 race.

The run starts and finishes in Pattingham, is well marshaled all the way round, we provide ample of-road parking, limited changing facilities.

Entry fees are £12.00 for UKA affiliated club runners and £14.00 for non-club runners, (plus booking fee). The closing date for advance entries is the 3rd October. You may still enter after that date, but will need to collect race numbers on the day.
Entry on the day is permitted at a fee of £20.00 for all runners.

I accept that the organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expenses which may arise in the consequence of my participation in or attendance to this event. I declare that I will not attend unless I am in good health on the day of the event and accept that I attend at my own risk. In the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event. No refunds or transfers allowed under any circumstances.
