UK Virtual Races – Founding Run
Welcome to the Founding Run — where the UK Virtual Races journey begins!
Every journey has a starting line, and this is ours.
The Founding Run celebrates the launch of UK Virtual Races and invites you to become part of our very first running community.
Choose your distance — 5K or 10K — and complete it wherever suits you. Your local park, favourite running route, treadmill or somewhere completely new. You decide where and when your journey begins, within the event's participation period.
Whether you're taking your first steps into running, returning after a break or already an experienced runner, the Founding Run is about taking part, achieving something personal and enjoying the experience.
Choose your entry
Both distances offer two entry options:

Digital Entry – £5: Includes your digital achievement and downloadable finisher certificate after verified completion.

Medal Entry – £15: Includes everything in the Digital Entry, plus a specially designed physical finisher medal for your chosen distance.
The Founding Run features distinctive blue 5K and green 10K medals, created to celebrate the beginning of UK Virtual Races.
Completing your Founding Run
Once you've booked through BookitZone, your entry will be matched and confirmed by the UK Virtual Races team.
You'll need a free account at https://ukvirtualraces.co.uk to access your race and submit your activity evidence.
Complete your chosen distance, submit your evidence through your UKVR account and, following verification, your result and digital achievement will become part of your permanent personal collection.
Your digital certificate will also be available to download once your completion has been verified.
Come for the race. Return for the journey.

UK Virtual Races – Founding Run Participation Disclaimer
By entering the Founding Run, I acknowledge and agree that:
1. This is a virtual running event. I am responsible for choosing a suitable location, route and time to complete my activity safely.
2. I participate voluntarily and accept responsibility for assessing my own fitness, health and ability to complete the chosen distance. I will follow applicable laws, road safety guidance and local restrictions.
3. My entry is personal and non-transferable. I must complete the activity myself and submit genuine evidence of my own participation.
4. I understand that UK Virtual Races may review submitted evidence and request clarification where necessary. Digital achievements, certificates and any applicable physical finisher medals are awarded only after successful verification.
5. I understand that my BookitZone booking must be confirmed and matched to my UK Virtual Races account before I can submit activity evidence.
6. I understand that entry fees, cancellations and refunds are governed by the applicable booking terms and UK Virtual Races event terms, including my statutory consumer rights.
7. I understand that UK Virtual Races is not responsible for incidents arising from my choice of route or activity, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
