Leek Hockey Club Boots Run
Saturday 6th September 2025
11.00am - 9 Mile / 11.30am 5km
The Annual LHC Boots Run is a fundraising, all ability friendly run to raise money for local charities in memory of our team mate and friend Jackie (Boots) Machin. We pride ourselves on throwing one of the best after parties for all the family back at our clubhouse!
It is a multi terrain run, taking in the Leek to Rudyard track and the local beauty spot of Rudyard Lake.
The start and finish will be just a short walk from our clubhouse where you can park and use the facilities and will be welcomed back after where refreshments will be served and everyone is welcome.
The 5km will be a nice and easy out and back route and the full 9 mile event will head off towards Rushton and then out and around Rudyard Lake.
The majority of the run will be good tracks and trails and will be clearly marked/marshalled. There is a 2km distance around the fields at the club, suitable for all, parents are welcome to run with children, all entered participants for all races will receive a goody bag at the finish. There will also be a presentation for the top 3 males and females in each race.

I accept that the organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expenses which may arise in the consequence of my participation in or attendance to this event. I declare that I will not attend unless I am in good health on the day of the event and accept that I attend at my own risk. In the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event. No refunds or transfers allowed under any circumstances.
