Boulsworth Fell Race 2026!!!

SUNDAY 9^th August 2026 AT 11.00 AM

The route passes through farmland on the way to and from the foot of Boulsworth, with the middle section consisting of a clockwise loop over the plateau, which provides an opportunity for some proper Pennine fell running.

6.3 miles / 10.1km approx. (984ft)
Category: BM – open to runners aged 17+

This race is part of the Trawden & District Agricultural Show and includes entry into the show.

Race Day Info:
Race HQ: Trawden Recreational Ground, Trawden, BB8 8RS. Field E (free parking). Please follow the signs for Trawden Show. Please note there is a one-way system in operation up Keighley Road (via Old Rock Cafe) and down through Winewall (no access to the area via Winewall).

Please collect your race numbers from our club gazebo situated in Field E.

Registration:     Juniors 8.45am-9.30am

Seniors 9.45am-10.30am

Race Starts:      Juniors from 9.45am – from the field adjacent to Field E

Seniors 11am – starting in the main showground, finishing in the field adjacent to Field E.

Kit Requirements:

Race 1 U8/U10s - No kit required

Race 2 U12/U14s - No kit required

Race 3 U16/U18s - Waterproof jacket

Seniors - Please bring full kit, a decision will be made on the day, minimum will be a jacket.

Runners in fell races are expected to be self-sufficient so there will be no water station on the route, you will need to carry your own. Water will be available at the finish.

Please ensure you wear appropriate footwear.

We have requested a port-a-loo from the show but if there isn’t one available the only toilets available will be in the showground.

There will be no early starts for anyone and if bad weather is forecast, a cut-off will be put in place. This is for the safety of runners and our volunteers.
