The organisers would like to acknowledge and thank Blackrod Town Council for their support of the 2026 Blackrod Scarecrow 10K through a community grant helping to deliver this local event.
Bolton Mountain Rescue Team – Volunteer-run emergency rescue service covering 309 square miles across Greater Manchester.
Backup (NorthWest) – Supporting young people aged 16–25 in Bolton who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
If you would like to make a donation to either or both charities, you can do so below when completing your entry.

Safety & Licence Requirement: In-ear or over-ear headphones, AirPods, or any device that blocks your ability to hear traffic, marshals or other runners are not permitted and may result in disqualification.
Open-ear / bone-conducting headphones (e.g. AfterShokz) are permitted provided your ears remain unobstructed and you can clearly hear instructions and approaching runners.
We’re not killjoys — this is to comply with race licence conditions and to keep everyone safe. There’s nothing worse than calling ahead to pass and the runner in front can’t hear you. Please help us make the course safe for all participants.
