Formerly called The Wellingborough Multi Terrain Series, we are pleased to offer this two round multi terrain run with Round 1 at Irchester Country Park with a choice of 3 distances: 5, 10 or 15K. and Round 2 at Brigstock Country Park with a choice of 2 distances 7.5 or 15K This year we are back to the downhill version at Irchester, running the event in the opposite direction to 2024
Whether you’re looking for a multi terrain fun run, take your parkrun off road, want to practice the run leg of your triathlon, or run a serious race in some stunning surrounds, then the varied terrain of the Jurassic Irchester Country Park and Brigstock Country Park in Northamptonshire is ideal. It doesn’t matter what ability level you are as for Round 1 you have three distance options . The course for all 3 distances is the same – with the 5km runners completing 1 lap, the 10km runners 2 laps, and the 15km runners 3 laps with everybody starting at the same time.
For Round 2 you have a choice of 7.5km or 15km both single laps. Thanks to the National Trust on your route you will be treated to a unique and stunning glimpse of Lyveden New Bield, a captivating Elizabethan lodge, amidst the Northamptonshire country side. The partially completed structure, with its intricate architectural details and symbolic carvings, stands as a remarkable testament to the vision of Sir Thomas Tresham. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, wildflower meadows, and tranquil water features, Lyveden offers a glimpse into the past with its intriguing history and serene, timeless beauty. The runners will experience the enchanting landscape, with sweeping views that showcase this hidden gem in all its glory.

COURSE

We have added a section to the 10K and 15K course, you will be directed to a trail to your left before the hill on the second and third laps. Follow the trail and turn right at the bottom, cross the roadway and follow the edge of the field, go through the trees and turn left back on the main path to the hill – Don’t forget you can go longer or shorter on the day if things change – just speak to the registration team (if you want to go longer you will need cash to pay for the difference in fees.
