Event Description
This popular midweek race is run over an almost flat route on cycleways and quiet rural roads. The race is suitable for beginners and experienced runners alike.
The race is registered under UK Athletics rules, and a medal and refreshments are provided for all finishers. It starts at 7.30 pm from the Lancaster and Morecambe Athletic clubhouse next to Salt Ayre Sports Centre.
There will be prizes for the first 3 men and 3 women, and prizes for each veteran category, from 35 for women and 40 for men.
There will also be bonus prizes of £50 for the man and/or woman breaking the course records, which are 31’19” for men and 37.39 for women.
This year the race will also be used by the police for their local annual championships.
The entry fee is £10 for runners already in running clubs (attached) and £12 for non-attached, with an additional £2 fee for entries on the evening of the race. The entry fee includes refreshments at the end of the race.
Under UK Athletics rules, the wearing of headphones is not permitted in this race.

I accept that the organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expenses which may arise in the consequence of my participation in or attendance to this event. I declare that I will not attend unless I am in good health on the day of the event and accept that I attend at my own risk. In the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event. No refunds or transfers allowed under any circumstances. I understand that under UK Athletics rules, the wearing of headphones is not permitted in this race.
