LEICESTERSHIRE & RUTLAND AA 4th PENTATHLON COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP

 and OPEN COMPETITION with the 5000m County Championship and Open

Sunday 4th June 2017 (10.00-6.30)

Leicestershire & Rutland AA  is pleased to offer its fourth Combined Events Championship and Open Meeting. All the events are held under the 2017 UKA Rules of Competition.

The Combined Events 2017 Championship and Open Competition includes the following age and gender categories:

 

Under 20 Men: Long Jump, Javelin, 200m, Discus and 1500m (Open Only)
Under 20 Women: 100m Hurdles, Shot Put, Long Jump, High Jump, 800m (Open only)
Under 17 Men: 100m Hurdles, Shot Put, Long Jump, High Jump, 1500m (Open and Champs)
Under 17 Women: 80m Hurdles, Shot, Long Jump, High Jump, 800m (Open and Champs)
Under 15 Boys: 80m Hurdles, Shot Put, Long Jump, High Jump, 800m (Open and Champs)
Under 15 Girls: Long Jump, 75m Hurdles, Shot Put, High Jump, 800m (Open and Champs)
Under 13 Boys: 75m Hurdles, Shot Put, Long Jump, High Jump, 800m (Open and Champs)
Under 13 Girls: Long Jump, 70m Hurdles, Shot Put, High Jump, 800m (Open and Champs)
Senior (20+) and Junior (U20) Men and Women: 5000m (Open and Champs)

 

Age Group Qualifying Dates for the Open Competition and the L&RAA Championships

Senior Athletes (for the 5000m) are aged 20 or more on 31st August 2017
Under 20 athletes are aged 17, 18 or 19 on 31st August 2017
Under 17 athletes are aged 15 or 16 on 31st August 2017
Under 15 athletes are aged 13 or 14 on 31st August 2017
Under 13 athletes are aged 11 or 12 on 31st August 2017

 

Please note that: All club athletes aged 11 and over must have a current EA number.

 

Rules for County Championships

The event is held under UKA Rules and you also need to be aware of the following conditions

 For the Championships you will need to be eligible by either birth in the Counties of Leicestershire or Rutland, or by continuous residence in either of those Counties in the 9 months prior to the Championships. You must indicate on the paper or on line entry form your eligibility criteria for entry.

 All Championship athletes who are in a club must wear their club vests.

 All the athletes for the Championships and the Open will compete together.

 

Medals and Results

 L&RAA County Medals will be awarded to the first three male and female Under 17, Under 15 and Under 13 athletes in the Combined Events County Championships

 Medals will also be awarded for the Open competition

 No athlete will be awarded more than one medal

 Results will be displayed on the day and medals will be presented at the end of the day

 The results, once verified will be available on the L&RAA website and will be sent to Athletics Weekly and the Power Of 10 for inclusion in their results.

For guidance only:

The Pentathlon competition begins at 10:00 approx

The 5000m competition will be held separately for men at 15:00 approx for women at 15.45 approx

There is a paper entry form that can be downloaded if you if you are entering the Pentathlon Championships or Open. 

There is no paper entry facility for the 5000m event.

* I declare that I will not attend unless I am in good health on the day of the event and accept that I attend at my own risk.
* I understand that in the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event.
* I understand that no refunds or transfers will be allowed under any circumstances.
