Back to event page

The FAQ section has been created to answer the more commonly asked questions by customers. If your question is not listed below, please contact the organiser using the contact details on the event page.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. How can I contact the event organiser?

A. Northallerton10k@gmail.com
Facebook: The Northallerton 10K
Twitter: @Nrthallerton10K

Q. Is there a map of the course?

A. The final route will be published in December 2017. However for those that entered last year, the route will be very similar with just a couple of tweaks avoiding parts that we did not feel worked well last year. Please keep an eye here / Facebook (The Northallerton 10K) / Twitter (@Nrthallerton10k) for race build up and announcements on the route.

Q. What do we get for our entry fee?

A. Race entry (bib & chip timing), T-shirt, finish line drink (water), SMS text message with your result.

Q. What time does registration open?

A. All chips & bibs are to be collected on the day. This will be @ Northallerton Town Hall (town centre) and open from 9am-10:45am. It is right next to the start line. Please do not be late.

Q. Will you be able to enter on the day?

A. You will be able to enter on the day, however places will be limited & we hope to sell out before the day itself. If places are left, 'on the day entry' will be £20 cash only and subject to availability (online entry is £13.50). If unsure, please contact us on Facebook or Email to ask how many places are spare nearer the time.

Q. Is there a time restriction to complete the course?

A. You must complete the 10K within 2hrs. However there will be race vehicles following the last runners in case they wish to finish early.

Q. Are there prizes?

A. This year there will be cash prizes for male & female categories. Details on this will be announced in the new year.

Q. Are there any changing facilities?

A. There will NOT be any changing facilities. There will be a secure locker area (£1 per bag for charity) that will be next to registration. There will be plenty of toilets on the day. We did not have enough toilets last time, but rest assured there will be plenty this time.

Q. Will there be drinks around the course?

A. Yes, there will be a water station half way round the course. There will also be a drinks station as you cross the finish line.

Q. Will the route be marshalled? What sort of course is this?

A. The route will be heavily marshalled throughout. For parts of the course, the road will be partially closed however the majority of the race will be on closed roads. There is a 200m country lane halfway through the course that is on an uneven surface, other than that you will be running on road surfaces.
