Event Terms

Conditions of Entry
By entering any Bollington Harriers event as made available on this website, participants understand, accept and agree to abide by the Terms & Conditions stated below. Bollington Harriers reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time by posting updates online.
If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, please do not enter the event.

Online Entry
The applicant’s place in an event is confirmed by the completion of the transaction through the online payment system. It is the responsibility of the applicant to check that the entry details have been entered correctly.

Deferrals, Transfers & Waiting Lists
Transfers or deferrals are normally permitted up to 48 hours prior to the event taking place.

We offer transfers/deferrals to anyone with a place who is no longer able to compete in their event up to the transfer/deferral deadline as above.

When transferring entries the people must follow the process in the online entry system. On completion of a Transfer, participants understand, accept and agree to our full terms and conditions.
Transferring of entries between participants outside of our official transfer process is strictly forbidden.

When an event sells out, we may operate a waiting list. As places become free, those on the waiting list will be contacted by email in the order that they were added to the list and given a time frame in which to confirm they still want the place and the process for registering/payment. If we do not receive confirmation from them within that time frame, the place is no longer open to them and the transfer is offered to the next person on the list.

Personal health and fitness
You understand that participating in an event is potentially hazardous, and you should not enter and participate unless you are medically fit to do so.
We recommend that you consult your doctor prior to undertaking training for all events and you accept that it is your responsibility to make sure you are medically fit and capable of taking part. We reserve the right, in our absolute discretion, to stop any participant from taking part if we deem him or her unfit, including mid-race removal from the course where necessary

Details of event registration times relating to specific events will be posted on here. All athletes are required to attend registration within the times specified. Applicants who do not attend registration within these times may not be allowed to participate, and will lose their right to a place in that event. It is the responsibility of participants to ensure they have accessed the relevant information relating to registration at their event.

On The Day Entries
The provision of ‘On The Day Entries’ is dependent upon various factors and differs between events. Once a race has sold out, or almost reached capacity there will be NO on the day entries.
Availability of On The Day Entries will be announced through event communications in the week before the event.
We will always charge a premium for on the day entries. Payment must be in cash.
When entering on the day of an event participants understand that they understand and agree to our full terms and conditions.

Swapping of entries
Swapping of entries between entries is strictly forbidden. It invalidates insurances undertaken by the event organiser to cover the event unless this is done in advance of the race using the Nifty Entries online transfer

Right of Refusal for entry
We maintain the right to refuse or revoke entry to any applicant not abiding by event rules and these terms and conditions.

I am medically fit to run and accept that I compete in this event at my own risk and that the organisers shall not be liable for any accident, injury or loss as a consequence of my participation. I will abide by the ARC rules and the race terms and conditions. I understand that it is my responsibility to know the rules.
