The last race of the year put on by the STOCKPORT TRI CLUB in conjunction with GO TRI, a new initiative to give people a taster of what multi-sport events are all about.
We would ask that once you've entered the event, please go to their website; www.gotri.org and register yourself. They will send you a timing band which will serve you on the day and for any other GO TRI events you may enter.
Please Note: The event is still awaiting approval on Go Tri so doesnt show up yet. Please re-visit over the next couple of weeks to register.
The distances are: 5km run, 20km cycle ride, 5km run
Starting from Poynton Leisure Centre, the run route goes out of the back of the centre and steadily climbs up to the Middlewood Way using the back country lanes. After completing about 1km on this footpath it climbs up to Coppice Wood where it then descends down to the access road and back out onto Dickens Lane back to the school. This contains a combination of terrains.
The cycle course is a two lap route once again taking in the quiet country lanes. It goes up into Higher Poynton before cutting across to Booth Green and skirting Adlington. It then follows Shrigley Rd before dropping back towards Higher Poynton. At the end of the first lap there is a laft turn into Waterloo Road, before setting out on the second circuit. The return to the Leisure Centre requires navigation through the estate coming into the Leisure Centre at the front entrance.
The second run is a duplicate of the first.

Please enter me for the above event. I accept that the organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expenses which may arise in the consequence of my participation in or attendance to this event. I declare that I will not attend unless I am in good health on the day of the event and accept that I attend at my own risk. In the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event. No refunds or transfers allowed under any circumstances.
