Darley Dash 5k & 3k Road Races

Darley Dash 

Join us for a unique opportunity to compete in our chip timed measured and certified 5k and 3k running races at Ashbourne's well known Darley Moor Racetrack. 

Open to all runners from internationals to club to road to social to park, this is your chance to prove what you can do. With a flattish and quick course, this is the perfect race to smash your P.B. and boost your official Power of 10 ranking. There will be a wide start across the width of the tarmacked racing circuit with each kilometre marked out around the circuit to guide you in for your well-earned chequered flag finish.

Weighted down club gazebos are welcome, we're aiming for a Cross Country/Fell Race series atmosphere with plenty of space to set up camp and catch up with other clubs.

In line with our sustainability goals we can offer an optional medal at a cost of £3.50 for anybody who wants one, make sure tick the option when you enter. We can also offer (basic) FREE CAMPING at the racetrack from 4 p.m. the night before your race, for competitors and immediate family (parents/children)

It's a bank holiday weekend so why not stay over and take advantage of being on the edge of the Peak District without having to pay sky high camping fees!

The Races
The number of races depends on entries – there could 1 or multiple 3k races from 10.00, and 1 or multiple 5k races from 11.00. 
Races may be graded by predicted time depending on the number of entries.

Wave information will be sent out in the week prior to the race.

Registration
Pick up race number & timing chip on the day from 09:00 at Race HQ.
Snacks and water at the finish and catering van on site.

Cut Off Time
There is no official cut off time but please complete your predicted time on the entry form so we can put you in a suitable wave.

Prizes
Overall and age group prizes subject to number of entries.

Darley Moor Weekend
This event is part of a weekend of sport at Darley Moor.  There will be a junior duathlon on Saturday May 25th and a senior (draft legal) duathlon on Sunday May 26th.  Further details of these events can be found here and here
Free basic camping is also available the night before any of those events you have entered.

Marshals

All our volunteers get either a free (transferable) entry for a future event or we will make a charity donation on their behalf.
