Organised by Prestwich Athletic Club
Raising money for The Running Charity, Manchester which helps young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness to reach their full potential through running.
You all loved The Racecourse Relays in 2019 so we are excited to present the same great event but at a different location - the lovely Philips Park in Whitefield. Come and run for fun in a beautiful landscape but also for the challenge of some rolling hills.
The Wacky Relays involves teams of four runners; each runner completes one loop of the 1.3 mile/2 km circuit circuit before heading back to Sedgley Park Rugby Club to hand over their baton to the next runner in front of a cheering crowd of supporters. The race is an adult event (15 years and over). There will be prizes for the first teams and spot prizes. Teams can be all male, female or mixed.
Entry is £5 per team member for affiliated club runners - £20 a team, and £7 per team member for unaffiliated club runners - £28 a team (plus booking fees).
The route is on trails around Philips Park which are wide and generally firm but may be muddy if there has been rain so trail shoes are advised. There's lots of space at the rugby club to relax and enjoy the event together with a charity cake stand, coffee and a bar at the rugby club.
You might even want to get into the Wacky Relays spirit with team outfits. Please give your team a name – maybe something appropriately themed?
There will be toilets on site and limited on-site car parking, the maximum entries are 250 runners.
Registration open at 9.30am and the race will start at 11 am.

Please enter me for the above event. I accept that the organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expenses which may arise in the consequence of my participation in or attendance to this event. I declare that I will not attend unless I am in good health on the day of the event and accept that I attend at my own risk. In the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event. No refunds or transfers allowed under any circumstances.
