Darwen Half Marathon 2025

The Darwen Dashers Running Club, in partnership with RunningSpec Events, proudly presents the Darwen Half Marathon 2025. Known as the "rollercoaster" half marathon, this popular event is back, bigger (but not longer) and better than ever, now featuring a new downhill start.
This undulating, measured, chipped, and UKA-licensed circular route includes a 1,411-foot ascent, taking runners through the stunning countryside of Darwen, Edgeworth, Chapeltown, and Egerton. The final mile features a gentle downhill finish back at Blacksnape Playing Fields.
Event Day Details:
- Registration: 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM
- Facilities: On-site café serving hot and cold food and drinks, toilets, changing rooms, and secure bag drop.
- Host: Andy O'Sullivan MBE
What’s Included:
- Medal and t-shirt for all finishers
- Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd male and female, plus male and female age categories (V40 to V70)
