Are You Ready To Take On The Peaks ?

For those people brave enough to tackle the 10k, how many peaks would you like, 1, 2, or 3 ?
All proceeds go over to The Donna Louise Trust. Registered Charity Number 1075597

Here are the times and locations for the Peaks on Sunday 28th July 2019
Fun Run course to be confirmed at 11.30am
10k start at Jollees Cabaret Venue at 10.00am

A family fun day for all. A 10k run for those brave enough to take on the peaks and a steady fun for those looking at a more relaxed run.

10k:
Starting at the corner of Sheppard Street and London Road by Jollees Cabaret Venue, runners will head off towards Stoke town centre.
You will approach the Commercial Inn which is on the corner of Penkhull New Road.
Turn left and continue up Penkhull New Road (very steep) passing the Portmerion factory to the top.
Upon approaching the top turn left onto Rothwell Street and bear left, down Trent Valley Road continue to the bottom to the T junction with London Road.
Turn left onto London Road continue along, back through the start again but this time continue into Stoke.
Once you've past Sainsbury's get ready to turn left up Hill Street and continue to the top.
At the top, turn left onto Honeywall and continue until you reach the old Penkhull Infants School where you will turn right onto Princes Road.
Carry on along Princes Road and just before Hartshill Road, take the hard left on to Queen's Road. Carry on along Queens Road until you reach the T junction with Newcastle Lane.
Turn right onto Newcastle Lane, continue until you reach the mini roundabout and turn left onto Harpfield Road.
Continue on and then over the small roundabout. Further on as you come to the end, keep and turn left onto Flash Lane.
At the top of Flash Lane turn left onto London Road and carry on back towards the start but at the West End Food Shop turn left up Regent Street, take the first right onto Boothenwood Terrace, 1st right again and down James Street.
At the bottom of James Street, turn left back onto London Road and to the finish.

Regrettably the 10K is not suitable for self-propelled wheelchair competitors or pushchairs. **PLEASE NOTE THAT THE COUNCIL HAS REQUESTED THAT RUNNERS STAY OFF THE ROADS AND ON THE FOOTPATHS**

Event Terms

I understand that the events are held under UK Athletics rules for competition and agree to abide by these, the event rules and marshal’s directions. The use of personal headphones is not permitted. I enter at my own risk and will not participate unless I am medically fit. The event organisers, sponsors and their agents will not be held responsible for any injury, loss or expense as a consequence of my participation in the event. I will not give or sell my race number to anyone else and I accept that NO REFUND will be given even if I cancel my application for any reason. In particular I understand that if the race is cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of the organisers or if there are insufficient runners to cove the costs of holding the event, full refunds will be given. I understand that there is a cut off time of one hour for runners to complete the fun run and 1.15 hours for the 10K. Runners not reaching this point after this time will be withdrawn and the organisers will not accept responsibility for them. I accept that photos of the event may be used in appropriate publications. **PLEASE NOTE THAT THE COUNCIL HAS REQUESTED THAT RUNNERS STAY OFF THE ROADS AND ON THE FOOTPATHS**
