About The Race
One of the toughest in the UK although suitable for all abilities with a generous 8 hour time limit the Bolton Hill Marathon route follows some of the most beautiful trails and Country Roads on the West Pennine Moors taking you up and over Winter Hill, past White Coppice and along the famous Anglezarke Reservoir, past Rivington Pike and Barn and through Barrow Bridge village.

Moss Bank Park has 2 free car parks,
you are advised to park in car park 2 although both car parks are equal distance to Race HQ.
If you are driving please enter the car park from Moss Bank Way A58
then follow signs to car park 2 or 1 along Moss Lane.

The Route
The route has changed from 2015 and is 50% Country road and 50% Trail, it is advisable to carry a map of the course although it will be fully marked.
The course is hilly with a total ascent of 3700 feet.
It is a lolypop course which starts and finishes in Moss Bank Park.
There are 8 feed stations at 4 Mile, 7.5 mile ,10 miles, 12 miles, 14 mile ,16 mile, 18.5 mile and 22 mile.
All feed stations are stocked with cup water and with High5 energy gels, Electrolyte, Haribo and Jelly Babies.
Some roads along the route have very light traffic so please take extra care on these roads and keep to the pavements when available remembering to give way to all pedestrians.

I declare that I will not attend unless I am in good health on the day of the event and accept that I attend at my own risk. In the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event. No refunds or transfers allowed under any circumstances.
You should collect your race pack/number/item at the venue on the day of the event. Please arrive in good time.
