the Richmond Castle 10K
SUNDAY 13th OCTOBER 2024
- Start time: 11am.
- Start location: The Batts (riverside park area, Richmond DL10).

** CHIP TIMED **
The 2024 race will again start and finish in the Batts riverside park area. The race is all on roads apart from a very short section on grass in the Batts. Runners pass the spectacular River Swale Waterfalls before crossing the river at Green Bridge and climbing Sleegill. A quick look back over the shoulder from Sleegill offers fine views of the castle. Runners follow a short circuit round Catterick Garrison then return into Richmond, where they circle Richmond Castle on Castle Walk before enjoying a fast downhill finish into the Batts park area below the castle.
All finishers receive a commemorative T-shirt (see note)!

Please note:
- Competitors must be 16 years of age or over. Those aged 16 and 17 must obtain the permission of their parent or guardian, who should submit this form electronically on their behalf.
- No headphones will be allowed, except for England Athletics approved bone conducting headphones.
- This race will have a cut-off time of 1hr 45.
- In the opinion of the organiser, the nature of the course makes this race unsuitable for wheelchair athletes, and runners with pushchairs/buggies or dogs.
- Finishers T-shirts can only be guaranteed for entries made before 15th September 2024.

By entering:
- You declare that you are an amateur as defined by UK Athletics Rules and you will abide by the laws and rules of UK Athletics;
- If you are running for your second-claim club, by entering you certify that your first-claim club has no objections;
- You accept that the organiser and its sponsors will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expense that may arise as a consequence of your participation in this race;
you declare that you will not compete unless you are in good health and in full fitness on the day of the race and that, in any event, you will compete at your own risk; and
- You acknowledge that your details will be retained on a computer or in a manual filing system by the organiser, BookitZone and UK Athletics for the purposes of this event and will not be passed to anyone by the organiser except for emergency services use, if appropriate, and to UK Athletics in accordance with its licence requirements for this race, and you consent to this use and processing of your details.
- Your accept photographs of the race may be taken for publicity purposes and by participating in the race you agree and give permission that your image may be used.
- You agree to follow the instructions of the race organiser, to adhere to the safety briefing to be given at the start of the event and to follow the instructions of marshals.
