Now in its 32nd year; the race was established by Station Commander John Whiteman back in 1987. This is a major fundraising event in the Fire Station’s calendar which in previous years managed to raise almost £2,000 for the Firefighters Charity . We hope, with your support, to beat that record this year. |
ABOUT THE RUN
Taking place in October each year, the race starts and finishes at Burnley Community Fire Station in Belvedere Road at 10.00am and takes in some breath-taking views of Burnley. This is an undulating/hilly course and accurately measured.
The event headquarters is the Burnley Community Fire Station on Belvedere Road, Burnley BB10 3AA. There is plenty of parking available at the adjacent school. At Race HQ you will find the registration desks where you can collect your race numbers, an enquiry desk if you have any questions, toilets, baggage storage and refreshments.
Entry into the event is open to everyone of all abilities as long as you are aged over 15 on the day of the race.
Other races in this series are the Preesall Fire 10km (30th June) and the Chorley Fire 10km (17th November)

I accept that the organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expenses which may arise in the consequence of my participation in or attendance to this event. I declare that I will not attend unless I am in good health on the day of the event and accept that I attend at my own risk. In the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event. No refunds or transfers allowed under any circumstances.
