** EVENT CANCELLED DUE TO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES **
" 2016 Great Hill Fell Race cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. This coming weekend's race at Brinscall is cancelled due to the sudden illness of one of the major co-organisers. Please be advised to seek an alternative event for Saturday 18th June. Information will also be posted on the FRA website. Chorley Athletic and Triathlon Club apologises for any inconvenience but hopes runners will understand the sudden and dramatic turn of events. All pre entry monies will be returned in due course."
The Great Hill Fell Race is held annually as part of the Brinscall Festival
Festival Field, Brinscall, Lancashire GR SD622215.
Held under FRA Rules.
Traversing along road, stoney track and open moorland to the top of Great Hill approximately 9.3kms and 480m ascent.
Minimum age on day is 16 years.
Event Terms
Declaration : I am familiar with the FRA safety requirements and will abide by those imposed by the race organiser on the day. I believe that I have the physical and navigational skills necessary to safely complete this race. I accept the hazards involved and acknowledge that I am entering and running this race at my own risk.
