Northern Police Cross Country League - 2024/2025 Season
We have now implimented an entry system for the well established Northern Police Cross Country League.
There are 12 great fixtures planned for 2024/2025. This includes the PSUK Nationals that will be included as one of the 12 counting fixtures.
The cost to enter all 12 races is £15 which includes a designer Season Buff Scarf memento!
Note: The PSUK Race in North Wales also requires an additional National Race entry fee to take part.
Police Forces Sports Clubs will also contribute toward their own host races direct to provide post-race food and other facilities.
Your entry costs will go toward prizes, season memento, race numbers and any other costs. The League is non profit-making and all revenue is used to fund and support the races.
They all start at 1.30pm on a Wednesday. This mid-week time is best suited to Police Staff that has been successful for countless years.
There are two entry fees available:
- £15 for up to 12 Fixtures
- £4 for any one individual Fixture
Your best FIVE fixtures will count towards points. Each race carries 100 points for 1st Male and Female, 99 for 2nd etc. Maximum points for the season will be 500.

Fixtures start at 1.30pm on a Wednesday unless otherwise stated.

- Fixture 2 – 9 October 2024 – Cheshire – Confirmed
- Fixture 3 – 20 October 2024 – Cumbria/Lancashire – TBC
- Fixture 4 – 13 November 2024 – GMP - Confirmed
- Fixture 5 – 27 November 2024 – South Yorkshire – Confirmed (North+Mids)
- Fixture 6 – 11 December 2024 – Derbyshire/Northern – TBC (Mids)
Christmas
- Fixture 7 – 8 January 2025 – Staffordshire – Confirmed (Mids)
- Fixture 8 – 29 January 2025 – Humberside – Confirmed
- Fixture 9 – Fri 21 February 2025 – Merseyside Confirmed
- Fixture 10 – 6 March 2025 – North Wales – PSUK National – TBC
- Fixture 11 – 26 March 2025 – West Yorkshire - Confirmed
- Fixture 12 – 9 April 2025 – Lancashire - Confirmed
Event Locations
Precise locations of all events will be notified via the www.npccl.co.uk website.
Routes
Details of the routes will appear on the Northern Police Cross Country League website soon. They will all be circa 5 - 6 miles. The terrian will be off-road trail suited to trail shoes.
Navigation
All course will be marked and easy to navigate by small flags, tape or markers.
Entry
The races are closed and open only to members of UK Police Forces and their family members. (Spouse/Partner/Siblings) We will admit guests of Police Club Members who have already entered.
We are now allowing 'Services' members to this League - Civil, Armed, Fire, NHS, Prison. Contact us if you wish to enter as a Guest member this season if you are a Service member.
Car Parking, Toilets, Changing and Showers
Each venue will differ. All will have car parking and toilets. Some will have changing and showers. Please check the NPCCL website for details.
Post Race Refreshments
Our race hosts will generally put on some post-race light refreshments at most of our races.
Season Prizes
Prizes will be awarded at the end of the season at Fixture 12. These will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd male, female, veteran (5 Year Increments) and Force Team positions as well as other prizes.
Services and Guest Runners do not qualify for the above end of season prizes.
Season Buff-Scarf Memento
This year we are including a free printed 'Buff' for every runner who enters the 'Full League' of Fixtures.

No refunds allowed but an entry may be transferred to another police runner. .
