Northern Police Cross Country League - 2023/2024 Season
We have now implimented an entry system for the well established Northern Police Cross Country League.
There are now 11/12 Fixtures planned for 2023/2024. This includes the PSUK Nationals that may be included as one of the 12 counting fixtures.
The cost to enter all 15 is £1 per race plus a designer Season Buff Scarf included!
Police Forces Sports Clubs will also contribute toward their own host races direct.
Your entry costs will go toward prizes and season memento and race numbers etc.
They all start at 1.30pm on a Wednesday. This mid-week time is best suited to Police Staff that has been successful for countless years.
There are three entry fees available:
- £15 for up to 11/12 Fixtures
- £4 for any one individual Fixture
Your best FIVE fixtures will count towards points. Each race carries 100 points for 1st Male and Female, 99 for 2nd etc. Maximum points for the season will be 500.

Fixtures 1 to 11 are now set but precise venue location and course information will be confirmed nearer each date:
• Fixture 1 - 11 October 2023 - North Yorkshire
• Fixture 2 – 25 October 2023 - Lancashire
• Fixture 3 – 15 November 2023 - Cheshire (New Date)
• Fixture 4 – 29 November 2023 - South Yorkshire
• Fixture 5 - 13 December 2023 - Derbyshire
• Fixture 6 - 10 January 2024 - Staffordshire
• Fixture 7 – 24 January 2024 - Humberside
• Fixture 8 – Friday 9 February 2024 - Merseyside
• Fixture 9 – 21 February 2024 - West Yorkshire
• Fixture 10 – 6 March 2024 - PSUK - Derbyshire
• Fixture 11 – 27 March 2024 - GMP
Note: An additional Cumbria Fixture may be added in November

Precise locations of all events will be notified via the www.npccl.co.uk website.
Routes
Details of the routes will appear on the Northern Police Cross Country League website soon. They will all be circa 5 - 6 miles. The terrian will be off-road trail suited to trail shoes.
Navigation
All course will be marked and easy to navigate by small flags, tape or markers.
Entry
The races are closed and open only to members of UK Police Forces and their family members. (Spouse/Partner/Siblings) We will admit guests of Police Club Members who have already entered.
We are now allowing 'Services' members to this League - Civil, Armed, Fire, NHS, Prison. Contact us if you wish to enter as a Guest member this season if you are a Service member.
Car Parking, Toilets, Changing and Showers
Each venue will differ. All will have car parking and toilets. Some will have changing and showers. Please check the NPCCL website for details.
Post Race Refreshments
Our race hosts will generally put on some post-race light refreshments at most of our races.
Season Prizes
Prizes will be awarded at the end of the season at Fixture 12. These will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd male, female, veteran (5 Year Increments) and Force Team positions as well as other prizes.
Services and Guest Runners do not qualify for the above end of season prizes.
Season Buff-Scarf Memento
This year we are including a free printed 'Buff' for every runner who enters the 'Full League' of Fixtures.

Event Terms
Please enter me for the above event. I accept that the organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expenses which may arise in the consequence of my participation in or attendance to this event.
I declare that I will not attend unless I am in good health on the day of the event and accept that I attend at my own risk. In the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event. No refunds allowed but an entry may be transferred to another police runner. .
