Event Description
The Helmsley 10k challenge is a multi terrain race partly on road, partly on forestry track and footpaths and fields. The total distance is 10km. Minimum age: 15 on 1st April 2018. Entry on the day is accepted; the race limit is 500. The nature of this course makes it unsuitable for wheelchair athletes. Dogs are not allowed on the playing field or on the course. Assembly at the Sports Ground, Baxton’s Lane, Helmsley, YO62 5HT.
Children’s Races. Once again there will be children’s races on the sports field for children aged 3 – 14. Entry will be on the day only and will cost £3. For further details please see the website (see below). Please note that children intending to run must arrive before 10am as the road to the sports club will be closed for the adult race.
Prizes: The first 300 finishers are guaranteed a commemorative mug and an Easter Egg. Voucher prizes for the usual categories. Please see www.helmsleysports.org for full details.

Please enter me for the above event. I accept that the organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expenses which may arise in the consequence of my participation in or attendance to this event. I declare that I will not attend unless I am in good health on the day of the event and accept that I attend at my own risk. In the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event. No refunds or transfers allowed under any circumstances.I declare that I am an amateur as laid down by UK Athletic Laws. I am medically fit to take part in the race. I understand that the organisers will in no way be held responsible for any injury, illness or loss due to my participation. I understand that if I wear headphones is it at my own risk. I agree that I will follow instructions from marshals at all times and that when on the public highway I will give way to pedestrians and road users.
Data Protection Act: I understand and agree that the above details will be stored on a computer for race administration purposes and will not be supplied to a commercial organisation.
