Manchester Road Runners are proud to present the MRR 5th Annual Canal 10K, our 5th Out-And-Back All-Terrain Race!!
From the burgeoning heart of Manchester’s waterside, this event begins at The Wharf Pub, Wharfside of the Manchester Ship Canal!
This flat and fast run along the canal boasts cobbled walkways, winding gravel paths, serene waters and top destinations such as Media City, Old Trafford Football ground and more.
The race is timed in line with EA and UKA standards, with results and photos available shortly after finishing.
The route is signposted every KM, and is marshalled at various junctures for those getting on an off the canal route.
A water station is available at the 5K halfway point at Stretford Marina, where you turn also turn back to head to the finish line.
Join us after in our home from home, The Wharf Pub, which houses the MRR club throughout the seasons and get a ticket to our after party evening out!
Entrances are open to everyone over the age of 18, those with disabilities are also welcome to take part, any additional support needed should be mentioned at point of registration and every effort will be made to aid and support those who wish to join in.
Discount is offered to Affiliated Runners, a mention of the Affiliation and number must be given at point of payment.
Prizes are offered for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and are given out to the qualifying male and female representatives.
All entrances will receive a goody bag with sponsorship prizes of the race.
Baggage holding is offered inside the Wharf pub, where amenities are also available.
There are no shower or massage facilities available.
Due consideration at all times for other users of the canal (cyclists, pedestrians, dog walkers) and the canal’s neighbours.

Please enter me for the above event. I accept that the organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expenses which may arise in the consequence of my participation in or attendance to this event. I declare that I will not attend unless I am in good health on the day of the event and accept that I attend at my own risk. In the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event. No refunds or transfers allowed under any circumstances.
