http://www.nhstriathlon.co.uk/the-event/faq/
Q. Is this event suitable for beginners?
A. The event is suitable for beginners The atmosphere is friendly and supportive. However the bike course is hilly so it is advisable to practice on the route to make sure that you have the correct gearing on your bike.
Q. Why has the name changed for this years event
A. The triathlon was originally set up in 2012 as part of a nationwide incentive to encourage and support NHS staff to become more active. This still remains one of the main objectives of the event today. The original organisers of the race were the Get Active Team employed by the NHS Public Health Department. This team no longer exists so rather than lose the event some of the original team have taken over running the race and to ensure its sustainability decided to open entries so that everyone can join the fun!
