Q. How can I contact the event organiser?

Q. Can I bring my dog?
A. Dogs are allowed outside of Burnley Youth Theatre, in the car park and grounds, but unfortunately will not be allowed in the building.
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcomed. Please be mindful of other participants who may be afraid of dogs.
Q. Are the routes suitable for prams?
A. The Short Stroll is on trails and paths that are suitable for prams. There are a couple of steeper inclines so please bare this in mind.
Prams would not be recommended on the longer routes.
Q. Are there toilets en route?
A. There are toilets at the start and finish, at Burnley Youth Theatre, and there will be other public toilets in parks en routes.
The route does pass by public places, cafes etc. where toilets could be used, however terms of use will be at the discrepancy of the business.
Q. What do I do if I can't complete the route?
A. Information and guidance will be sent prior to the event and also briefed on the morning of the walks.
We ask that if you drop out part way round a route, that you tell your intentions to a member of the team at a check-point.
If you are between checkpoints and have not informed anyone, there will be contact details on your map. Please call a member of the team and let them know.
We do not want our team waiting at check points for you to pass through if you have head home.
Q. Will there places to buy food and drinks?
A. There will be refreshments available at the start and finish, with the option of also purchasing additional snacks from the Youth Theatre reception.
If you are completing the medium or longer route, you will pass by check-points also providing refreshments.
The routes pass by public shops, cafes etc. if you wish to purchase anything on your journey.
We do ask that walkers carry their own snacks and food, and do not rely on checkpoints to refuel.
Q. Is there a minimum age?
A. No, there is no minimum age to participate, however the shorter stroll is recommended for families with prams or little legs.
If you register anyone under the age of 16, you will be asked to declare that they are able and healthy to complete the route and will be under strict adult supervision throughout.
Q. My whole family wants to take part. Can I complete one registration for us all?
A. Unfortunately not. We need to be fully aware of who and how many people are participating. This includes registering any little ones in prams.
You can however register each participant on the same Bookitzone account.
Q. Where can I park?
A. 1. The Youth Theatre has a small car park which will be free and open to the public.
2. There is a free car park (Bank Hall car park) on Queen Victoria Road. What 3 words ///chill.agrees.owls
3. There are multiple pay and display car parks within Burnley Town Centre that are only a 5-10 minute stroll from the event start.
4. In addition there are some free street parking areas along Queens Park Road, Ormerod Road and other areas around the Youth Theatre. Please park considerately for residents and do not block any access points or driveways.
Q. What time do I have to check in on the day?
A. We recommend arriving 20-30 minutes before your walk departs. This should give you ample time to check in and have a comfort break before the pre race briefing and walk departing.
