TURKEY-SYRIA CHARITY RUN
Date of Challenge: 4th and 5th March 2023
You will all be aware of the recent tragedy in Turkey and Syria. A catastrophic earthquake measuring 7.8 magnitude struck southern and central parts of Turkey and northern Syria. The earthquake was so powerful, it could be felt in other countries around Europe.
The earthquake, at the time of writing, has caused over 19,000 deaths, and hundreds of thousands of people left homeless. Now is the time to come together and show our support. This is why we have decided to organise a very special virtual run on the 4th and 5th of March to show our support and raise money to help people affected by this horrific natural disaster.
We will donate 100% of profits from all entry fees to the Red Cross.
WHAT’S INVOLVED?
Run, walk or jog any distance, anywhere at any pace on Saturday, 4th or Sunday, 5th March 2023.
Distances accepted: 1k, 5k, 10k, 10 miles, half marathon, full marathon, ultra.
WHAT’S INCLUDED?
Everybody who completes this challenge and submits their evidence will receive a beautiful white aluminium finishers medal with a plain coloured ribbon.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE CHALLENGE?
Once you have completed your challenge, simply go to our website and upload a screenshot of your activity on our secure submission form https://the-running-bug.com/submit-your-evidence/
Once your evidence has been sent, you should be redirected to a confirmation page. Then that's it! Your medal should arrive within 10 working days.

Please enter me for this virtual challenge. I accept that the organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expenses which may arise in the consequence of my participation. I declare that I will not take part unless I am in good health and accept that I do so at my own risk. Once my entry is accepted, I understand that my entry fee is NOT REFUNDABLE under any circumstances - even if I do not or cannot complete the challenge. Throughout the challenge I will observe the current government guidelines in force with regards to social distancing and time restrictions on exercising outside of the home. Please note there are additional charges for entries from outside the UK.
