NEW for 2022! Why not push yourself like never before with our ultimate endurance test.
In this virtual challenge, your goal is to run, walk or jog from Land’s End in Cornwall to John O’Groats in Scotland. Don’t worry, we don’t actually expect you to literally do it. But this challenge allows you to complete the distance between the two points (874 miles).
The only rule is that you complete the challenge during 2022 (from 1st January to 31st December).
Download the Lands End to John OGroats Tracker
Run, jog or walk 874 miles from 1st January 2022 to 31st December 2022. Each time you complete an activity, record the miles on that particular day. We also accept treadmill activities.
The tracker automatically calculates the distance you have completed each month as well as the overall total. For example, if you ran 10 miles a week in April, it would show 40 miles for the monthly total and underneath it would show the total of any miles accumulated during January, February and March.
Once you have completed the tracker and met the 874 miles requirement, you can email the spreadsheet to evidence@the-running-bug.com.
We do accept entries from overseas participants. However, please note that is an extra charge to cover postage costs. There may also be extra import duty charges and customs taxes depending on your country. You are liable to pay such charges. The Running Bug is unable to advise on these charges as they differ from country to country. We recommend you contact your local tax office.
Please enter me for this virtual challenge. I accept that the organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expenses which may arise in the consequence of my participation. I declare that I will not take part unless I am in good health and accept that I do so at my own risk. Once my entry is accepted, I understand that my entry fee is NOT REFUNDABLE under any circumstances - even if I do not or cannot complete the challenge. Throughout the challenge I will observe the current government guidelines in force with regards to social distancing and time restrictions on exercising outside of the home. Please note there are additional charges for entries from outside the UK. In the event that a resident with a non-UK address purchases a standard UK entry, then we reserve the right to refuse the entry and refund in full.
The Event Organiser will email further information prior to the event. Please check your junk/spam email folders if you don't receive it and note that the Organiser may only send information once entries close (ie. a couple of days prior to the event itself). If in any doubt, please contact the Event Organiser using the details displayed on the event entry page.
