It's back! Again.
After a successful return last year, the Ackworth Half Marathon has a new Easter Monday date in 2016!
This year, the race also incorporates the Yorkshire Vets AA Championships, which is open to all members of clubs or individuals affiliated to the YVAA.
The race will be run from the Ackworth Water Tower event field once again and follow the same undulating route taking in the surrounding villages of Wentbridge, Darrington and East Hardwick. We'll also have:
- Chip Timing with results on the day!
- Tech t-shirt and goody bag for all finishers
- Water stations
- Cash prizes for first 3 Men, Ladies & Vets categories (according to entries)
- Awards for YVAA age categories
Taking place on the 28th March, the race will provide the perfect opportunity for some race practice and extra mileage for those training for London and other spring marathons.

UKA Race License 2016-23388. Run under UKA rules.
All race numbers and chips must be collected on the day of the event.
Please note that there will be a 3 hour time limit to complete the race. The use of headphones and MP3 players during the race is also strictly prohibited.
Online entries will close on Thursday 24th March 2016. Entries will be available on the day - a £2 surcharge will apply and will not be eligible for prizes (YVAA included). Registration will open at 07:45, please ensure you arrive early to avoid disappointment!

I declare that I am an amateur according to UKA rules and I will be 17 years or older on 28th March 2016. I am medically fit to run and I understand that I enter at my own risk and that the organisers will in no way be responsible for any injury incurred by me as a result of the race or any damage to or loss of property. I understand that the race is run under UKA rules and agree to abide by these rules.
In the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event.
