In Aid of Prostate Cancer UK
Dress code to be underwear, pants for men, no boxer style shorts. Bra and pants for ladies, shorts and bikinis acceptable.
Fun fancy dress hat mandatory as are suitable running shoes.
The run will start and finish at Richmond Swimming Pool. The start time is 1100. The route will be down the Easby loop with the addition of a climb up Lombards Wynd and descent of Frenchgate back to the pool. There will be hot drinks and cake available at the finish. All profits from the race will be donated directly to Prostate Cancer UK.
Event Rules & Guidelines
EVENT RULES & GUIDELINES APPLICABLE TO ALL PARTICIPANTS
The following event rules and guidelines are intended to help produce an event, to ensure the safety of all participants, to meet the requirements of any authority permits. Richmond Trikudu Triathlon Club (RTTC) retains the right to refuse entry to anyone declaring false information on their application, not making the required payment, or otherwise failing to meet the entry requirements. In any and all circumstances RTTC retains the right to refuse entry to any person.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
PARTICIPATION
An email address is required for all entries. All correspondence will be via email. A contact number for each participant is preferred but not required. Using the same email address for two or more entries is accepted
To register for the underwear run you must be 16 years of age or older on event day. Entrants aged 0 to 15 are not permitted to enter.
Each participant must agree to the disclaimer and these terms and conditions before participating in the event. All participants take part at their own risk and a disclaimer waiving all claims against RTTC and any party acting on its behalf must be completed by all entrants, and is taken as done on entry. Registrants must be capable of completing the full distance, start line to finish line.
By taking part, all participants confirm that they are happy for their names and any footage or photographs taken during their participation in Underwear Run to be used to publicise any RTTC event. Participant run number bibs are specific personal identifiers and cannot be exchanged with or sold to any other person. Transfers between runners is not allowed under any circumstance.
All entry fees are non-refundable, and can not be deferred towards a future event. Entries are non-transferable. Registration closure is determined and announced when event participation reaches the established capacity or a pre-set date.
EVENT DAY
The idea of the Underwear Run is to raise awareness of and raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK. Dress code for the event is limited to underpants for men, no boxer style shorts. Bra and pants for ladies, short style briefs may be worn or bikini. Sensible running footwear ideal for the off road terrain and time of year and an item of headwear are mandatory.
Participants must follow instructions as given from all event officials including race staff, volunteers, medical personnel and officials throughout the duration of the event.
All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner during their participation in the event. This means, for example, that urinating or defecating anywhere on or near the course shall be strictly prohibited except in toilet facilities. Anyone violating this rule of conduct shall be disqualified from the event and will be asked to leave the course. NUDITY IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.
Every participant shall be provided with an event bib number, which shall be conspicuously worn on the front during the event. The event bib number is to be worn as issued. No participant shall be permitted to participate in the event without the appropriate bib number.
All participants must write their name and details of any health problems or medication on the reverse of the event number, which must be worn on the front of their person during the run.
DUE TO THE TIME OF YEAR OF THE EVENT, HEADWEAR IS MANDATORY. FAILURE TO WEAR HEADWEAR AT ALL TIMES WILL RESULT IN THE PARTICIPANT BEING WITHDRAWN.
All participants must acknowledge and agree that personal information (including medical information entered on their event number or collected by event medical staff during or after the Event) can be stored, used and disclosed by RTTC in connection with the organisation, promotion and administration of the Event and for the compilation of statistical information.
THE START
Race numbers shall be collected from race HQ, Richmond Swimming Pool between 0900 and 10.40
Participants shall assemble for the Big Warm Up and pre run briefing 10 minutes prior to the run starting. Participants shall then proceed to the start line. All participants must be positioned behind the starting line when starting.
COURSE MONITORING
Any participant who refuses to obey the directions of an event official or course marshal, or who conducts himself/herself in an ungamely manner, or who is offensive by action or language to officials, volunteers, participants or spectators may be disqualified by the event and future participation at the discretion of event officials.
Any person who participates in the event without a current official event bib number not officially assigned to him/her is subject to removal and disqualification from future RTTC events.
No persons are authorized to be on the course unless they are registered participants, Unfortunately due to the nature of the course the organisers deem the event unsuitable for wheelchairs.
PARTICIPANT SAFETY
Participants are responsible for their recognition and understanding of event signage, symbols and colour relating to participant maps, facilities and direction.
Medical personnel authorised by the event to do so may examine any participant who appears in distress. If in the sole opinion of authorised medical personnel it is in the best interest of the participant's health and welfare, medical personnel can remove the participant from the event. Participants must retire at once from the event if ordered to do so by a member of the event’s official staff, official medical staff, or any governmental authority, including fire and police officers. Participants are responsible and assume liability for any and all medical expenses incurred as a result of training for and/or participation in the event, including but not limited to ambulance transport, hospital stays, physician and pharmaceutical goods and services.
Event officials reserve the right to delay, cancel, alter the route or suspend the event due to inclement weather. No refund will be issued in these circumstances.
PRIZES
There are no winners prizes in any category as this is a fun run for charity. There may at the discretion of the organisers be prizes for best funny hat, best funny pants and such like.
AMENDMENTS / RESERVATIONS / ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
Event officials reserve the right, to modify, supplement or waive all or part of the event rules. Participants shall be bound by any modification or supplement of the event rules published prior to the event. Failure to follow these event rules, as can be amended, will result in immediate disqualification.
Cancellation Policy
Customers of RTTC should be fully there is no refund under any circumstances.
Disclaimer
In order to run in the Underwear Run, runners must agree the following disclaimer:
"In completing this entry I declare that I, or anyone that I am paying for, will not compete in the event unless medically fit to do so and that, in any event, we will compete at my/our own risk. I accept that the organisers will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, costs or expenses which may arise in consequence of my/our participation of the event.
I/We understand that entry fees are non-refundable.
I also hereby give my permission to use my/our name, quotes, video footage, and photographic likeness for marketing and promotional purposes.
You should collect your race pack/number/item at the venue on the day of the event. Please arrive in good time.
