The 2023 VIRTUAL Stone 5

Raising funds for the Lymphoma Cancer Association
Medal to all finishers and hosted results page after the race.
This Virtual race is a counting race in the NSRRA but is open to all athletes.
Following the success of the previous VIRTUAL Stone 5, we're doing it again. You can complete the race in your own time between the 19th-23rd August and record and submit your time to avtimingstaffs@gmail.com once completed.

We are happy for you to run a flat course but in the interests of sportsmanship please don’t run a downhill course
Please observe government guidelines re social distancing.

The deadline for submitting details of your run is end of 6pm SUNDAY 27th August 2023.
Your proof of completeion can be either from a running watch/app or a photo showing evidence of your completed run.
As some of you may or may not be aware that in 2017 I was diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer.
Thankfully after over six months of treatment and support I was given the all clear.
Throughout the time of my treatment the support I received from the Lymphoma Association was fantastic. If there was ever a question I needed answering or just some reassurance I could just call or go on to the website or the forum and know that help was never far away.
I decided that when I was well enough again I would do something to help these people who have helped me so much.
As many of you know I have organised Road Races for many years and decided to organise a shorter race which anyone could do regardless of ability to raise funds for this worthwhile cause.
I hope you enjoy taking part in this event; all runners that complete and submit their evidence will receive a fantastic medal through the post.

Please enter me for this virtual challenge. I accept that the organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expenses which may arise in the consequence of my participation. I declare that I will not take part unless I am in good health and accept that I do so at my own risk. Once my entry is accepted, I understand that my entry fee is NOT REFUNDABLE under any circumstances - even if I do not or cannot complete the challenge. Throughout the challenge I will observe the current government guidelines in force with regards to social distancing and time restrictions on exercising outside of the home.
