Celebrities You Never Knew Loved Running

Thousands turn out for the London Marathon in the hope of catching a glimpse of one of the many celebrities who take part each year.

After all, people love to see celebrities doing things that us “normies” do – they put their pants on the same way as us in the morning!

There are some A-listers who can’ get enough of running and some of the names may surprise you.

1.     Kevin Hart

The actor and comedian has become the face of Nike’s everyman runner movement, so much is his love for running. His adoration for running may not be a surprise for anyone who uses the Nike+ Run Club where his voice pops up at the end of each run.

2.     Will Ferrell

Not only is he brilliant at pumping his comedy muscles, the “Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy” star is also an accomplished runner who once ran the Boston Marathon in an impressive 3:56.

3.      Alicia Keys

The 15-time Grammy winner has starred in “The Voice”, which many know about. Most will not know that she has also ran a 26:2 in her home city and The New York Marathon in 5:50:52 in 2015 for her charity Keep a Child Alive.

4.      Mark Zuckerberg

The creator and CEO of Facebook began 2016 with “A Year Of Running” – a challenge of running 365 miles throughout the calendar year in an attempt to inspire more people to get involved in running. The group now has over 130,000 members.

5.     Sean Astin

As if walking Frodo to Mordor wasn’t enough, the actor who played the best-friend a Hobbit could have still gets involved in a number of marathons. He is also an Ironman World Championship finisher with a marathon best time of 4:04. He completed the 2016 New York City Marathon in 6:02:33.
