Return & Transfer Policy

We operate a strict 7-day refund policy. To cancel and receive a full refund, you must do so within 7 days of signing up. No refunds or deferrals will be permitted thereafter.

Transfers will only be available in person on the day (or at the pre-race pickup points on Friday/Saturday). This is because the majority of race numbers have already been personalised with entrant names and T-shirt sizes.

The organisers have provided the following procedure:

1. Download the printable transfer form
2. Check the race number for the original entrant
3. Complete the form fully
4. Take the completed form either to the pre-race pickup point on Friday or Saturday, or alternatively to the race on Sunday

The form can then be exchanged for the race pack, which will still be in the original entrant’s name.

Please note:

• Any financial arrangements for places being transferred must be handled privately between yourselves
• There is no guarantee that a particular T-shirt size will still be available
• Some entrants may wish to bring masking tape to cover the original name printed on the race number

Age & Cut-Off

Runners must be over 15 on the day to meet our Run Britain licence standards. There is a 2-hour time limit to re-open roads.

Closing Date

Places will remain on sale until one week before the race or until sold out.

The official 10 km course is fully measured and traffic-free.

Set up in front of the racecourse stands entrance. You’ll find:

Parking

There is no on-site parking in Pontefract Park. Please arrive early, park in town centre car parks (10-minute walk to start), and follow morning signage.

Photography

Mick Hall will capture images at 2 km and 8 km, plus start and finish. Links to photos will be sent after the race.

Licence & Safety

The Pontefract 10k is licensed by Run Britain. Roads are closed to all but emergency vehicles, with marshals managing the course.

First Aid

Ambocare will be on site at the finish line and along the route. Please ask for assistance if needed.

Headphones

Allowed, but please stay aware of your surroundings and other runners.
