Event Description
Celebrating 100 years as a military flying unit in 2017, Royal Air Force Shawbury will be holding only its second 10k airfield race on Sunday 21st May. RAF Shawbury is home to several Ministry of Defence elements including the Defence Helicopter Flying School and School of Air Operations Control. The race will take place on a fully operational airfield, offering a flat, open, closed-circuit course on well-maintained hard surfaces, including taxiways and runways, making it a perfect opportunity for a PB. The event will be opened by a display by the RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team and all profits from the event will be in aid of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund (RAFBF).
The race will be chip-timed. Chips and race numbers will be issued on the day. All participants will receive a medal and a goody bag. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers. The minimum age for entry is 18.

Please enter me for the above event. I accept that the organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expenses which may arise in the consequence of my participation in or attendance to this event. I declare that I will not attend unless I am in good health on the day of the event and accept that I attend at my own risk. In the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event. Refunds or transfers will be at the discretion of the race organiser and will be considered on an individual basis. The venue is a military unit. Photographic identification WILL BE required to be shown by ALL participants, along with an Event Ticket.
