Q. How can I contact the event organiser?

Q. Is the event open to the public?
A. No, sorry, this is a 'Closed' event open only to police Club members of the 50 UK police Forces affiliated to Police Sport UK. viz. Serving police officers or staff members, Special Constables', Retired police officers or staff members in receipt of a police or local authority pension.
Q. Do I need to be a member of my police Club
A. Yes. You must be a paying member of your Force Police Sports and Social Club to enter. If you are retired then your Force may consider you to be an 'honorary member'.
Q. Will my Police Club contribute to my entry, accommodation and meal costs?
A. Possibly. All Forces have different budgets and it maybe such that your force will contribute some of your entry and accommodation costs. You would need to contact your Force Athletics/Running representative to discuss. It may be such that you need to be selected to represent your Club.
Q. Can I still enter if I have not been selected by my Club?
A. Yes, providing you are a paying member of your Force Club you may enter this event. However, entry costs etc may have to be paid in full by you.
Q. Can I enter a personal guest, partner, spouse or family member?
A. No. Sorry, this event is 'Closed' and only open to full Force Club members as defined above.
Q. Will there be medals/prizes for veterans?
A. Yes. Apart from the usual PSUK prize categories we will add Veteran Male and Female prizes at 5 year increments upo to the oldest participant finishing the course.
Q. Is the course suited to spikes?
A. Yes! It is all on grass or soft trail. There are three paths to cross but we will cover these to minimise damage to spikes.
Q. Is there showers and changing for those travelling on the day only?
A. Yes! There are toilets, showers and changing in the Sports Centre 25m from the start.
Q. Is there somewhere at the start to change and leave valuables?
A. Yes! We will have a secure competitor event tent at the start.
Q. Is the accommodation close to the start?
A. Yes! Both the Campus accommodation and Lancaster House hotel accommodation are about a 3 minute jog to the start!
Q. Is the Presentation Venue close to the accommodation?
A. Yes! The Lica Function Room is a one minute walk from the Campus accommodation and 5 minute walk from the Lancaster House Hotel
Q. Where is breakfast served?
A. Breakfast is served in the Campus Cafe just one minute walk from the Campus Accommodation.Breakfast is served in the Lancaster House Hotel itself.
Q. Am I paying a booking fee to use Book It Zone?
A. Yes, the cost is absorbed into the overall pricing. The fee varies between £1.50 and £5.00 depending on what you book. This is an excellent facility as it saves the organiser and the competitor a lot of work processing entries in the conventional way.
Q. I have a Trophy/Plate from the 2018 event in Kilmarnock. Where do I bring it to?
A. If you drop it at the event registration point near the Lica building or to the event registration tent on race day.
Q. How do register for the race and get my race number?
A. Once you have entered through Book It Zone we will send you an email confirmation followed by further emails with updates about the event.
Q. Where can I find a start list and event results?
A. The PSUK Athletics Section Website is located at www.policesport.org A start List , event updates and final results will be posted here.
Q. How do I ensure I will be paired up in a room with another runner if I book a twin room?
A. When you book a twin room you will be asked for the name of the person you are sharing with. Likewise, the other runner will do same and we will then pair you off.
Q. Is there accommodation available elsewhere if the campus accommodation gets booked up?
A. There is accommodation in Lancaster (3 miles) and Morecambe (8 Miles) but it would mean travelling.
