Q. Are there any prizes or medals for the races?
A. Yes, prizes are awarded at the end of the season based on accumulated scores achieved right through the season. You need to run at least SIX of the 12 fixtures to score well. All runners completing at least SIX fixtures will receive an end of season race memento.
Q. Who is eligible to enter the League?
A. The event only open to members of Northern Police Forces, NCA, BTP and also Civil Service Members. Also certain members of their families. (See below) .
Q. Are my family members able to compete
A. Yes, certain ones are considered as 'honorary' members of the Club: Spouse/Partner, Children over 16 years of age can compete and count as a scorer for the Force Club they are with.
Q. Is the course suitable for spike shoes?
A. Some of the courses will be suited to spikes. We will notify of this before each race once we know more about the course terrain. We recommend you run in off-road trail or training shoes at the very least.
Q. Are the courses easy to navigate?
A. Yes, all course will be way-marked with flags and tape.
Q. Are there toilets and changing facilities
A. Facilities at each venue differ. We will notify before each race. There will be more than likely car parking and toilets available at each start and some venues have showers. If there is no changing or showers then this should be done from your own car. We may well have an event tent at the start to leave belongings during the race.
Q. Can Guests enter?
A. We will also allow invited guests of the listed eligible members who have already entered but guests will not score in the League table. Guests will be asked to pay the one-off £2 on day entry fee.
